Briggs Equipment raises money for Prostate Cancer UK
A massive well done to all of our people here at Briggs Equipment who have been raising money for charity by completing a variety of walking challenges.
Briggs Services Team, Solutions Team and David Jewell, Head of Sales Enablement, completed a monumental 10,673,190 steps. This is the equivalent to a staggering 5,310 miles, which incidentally is the distance required to walk to every single one of the 21 airbases three times!
As a result of this activity, we have raised £4,554.00 for two charities, with £2,000.00 to Prostate Cancer UK and £2,554.00 to Air Ambulances UK.
Jodie Ridgway, ES Team Leader, said: “I am absolutely delighted with the turnout from everybody involved this year. All of the money that has been raised is going to a fantastic cause and I know that AAUK, our charity partner, and Prostate Cancer UK will both be thrilled with the donations.
“Dave completed over 350,000 steps during March for PCUK, whilst the Solutions and Service Teams were busy raising money for Air Ambulances UK. We’re so proud of our people and for the contribution they continue to make to supporting both our charity of the year and different causes.”
